Architecture Approach

  1. 1Map source-to-destination dependencies before migration begins, including DNS, certificates, frontend assets, compute images, and relational data.
  2. 2Recreate the destination foundation with CloudFormation rather than relying on undocumented manual configuration.
  3. 3Use AWS Database Migration Service for the relational data path and an explicit image-transfer process for compute.
  4. 4Define validation and cutover checkpoints so traffic changes can be phased and reversed if required.
